All the permanent staff of YMA Security Services lives in the Fish Hoek valley. By employing only locals, we make sure that everybody has a stake in the safety and security of the community and that the community has a vested interest in supporting us. This closeness allows us to gather intelligence on crime much more rapidly than other companies. We make a conscious effort to source as many of our suppliers locally as possible.
This close proximity also allows our clients to talk to us more often and freely on many informal occasions.

The Managing Director
Yann Mouret, an ex-french Special Forces and VIP Protection specialist, settled down in the valley at the end of 2003.

He is currently the Vice-Chair for ASIS International, Chapter 203, Cape Town, an active member of the Fish Hoek Community Police Forum and the Vice-Chair of the False Bay Gun Club, based at Glencairn Quarry.

A dedicated Sport-Shooter, Yann Mouret is one of 5 Match Directors and a Safety Officer (Level III) for SADPA (South African Defensive Pistol Association) in the Western Cape.

Always passionate about the safety and security of the community, he decided to start a local security company to try to curb what was a severe increase in residential crime in the valley.

The employees
All our staff resides in the Fish Hoek area.

They are all coming from similar backgrounds, including ex-SAPS, ex-SA Navy and Army.

They are all committed to improve the safety situation in the valley.

We support and back-up the local Neighbourhood Watches such as Sun Valley, Milkwood Park, Sunnydale, Highway Road and others. We participate in most community events in the valley such as the Emzantsi Carnival on the first week of December and the Slangkop Motorcycle Rally at Soetwater in April.

We deliver a personalised service, you won’t talk to a call-centre in Jo’Burg or in Delhi. Our offices and Control-Room are centrally situated in Faerie Knowe and Capri respectively.

We are, as well as all our staff, registered with PSIRA (Private Security Industry regulatory Authority) and up-to-date in all our payments. We are paying PAYE, UIF, Workman’s Compensation Fund, and Provident Fund for all our employees.

We are registered for VAT, allowing you to claim VAT back when your company is paying for your security service.
